New Ways Title

Building Connections between Schools, Community and the Workplace

Who We Are

New Ways to Work has been one of the nation's leading research, training, and consulting organizations on workplace practice for over three decades. Over the past 18 years, New Ways has designed, piloted, and field-tested organizational and program strategies that expand access to the workplace for youth enrolled in school and participating in programs offered through local community-based organizations. New Ways helps communities build powerful connections between schools, workplace partners, community organizations, and public institutions.

New Ways focuses on producing measurable results. Through our programs, initiatives and technical assistance activities, we help communities, schools, and organizations deliver quality services. We specialize in building comprehensive youth systems, increasing student achievement, improving outcomes for youth, and increasing the capacity of practitioners (school and community staff members) to deliver quality services. New Ways provides a range of technical assistance services including strategic planning support, community resource mapping, and program and evaluation design. We provide specific content expertise and staff development activities in implementing effective employer and workplace partner engagement, quality work-based learning systems, collaboration strategies, leveraging and attracting new resources, engaging youth in decision-making, and building balanced programs.

New Ways is recognized as a leader and powerful advocate for quality youth system development at state and national levels. We seek to bring together the worlds of educational enhancement and improvement, workforce preparation, and economic and community development with a comprehensive and holistic approach to the delivery of youth services.
