Strategies for Engaging Youth in Planning and Decision Making Bodies
Increasingly, Youth Councils, Boards of Directors, Advisory Councils, Youth Organizations, Schools, and others are recognizing the importance of engaging young people in their planning, policy, and decision-making. In 2004 - 2005, Youth Council staff and members, youth service providers, and youth participated in several conference calls and workshops exploring this issue and generating tips for other doing similar work.

Youth on Board
In 2004, Massachusetts-based Youth on Board partnered with New Ways to support Youth Council staff and members, youth service providers, and youth in developing strategies for bringing youth on their Boards of Directors and other decision-making bodies.
