National Call for Promising Practices

Share Youth Council Promising Practices with a National Audience We are inviting Youth Councils throughout the country to share your promising practices with a national audience. New Ways has collected over 60 YCideas (promising practices) from Youth Councils throughout California and would like to add strategies from around the country to the collection.

YCinfo Search

Beginning in 2002, members of the California YCi network sent inquires out to the field to garner peer feedback on issues and strategies in their work. YCinfoSearch presents compilations of responses on various topics that will assist you with the important work you do in the field.


Youth Council Institute 2005 Impact Report (PDF 364 kb)

Between 2001 and 2005, Youth Councils across California enjoyed great success, due largely to efforts of the Youth Council Institute (YCi), the State's technical-assistance and capacity-building strategy for improving youth services in local areas. The report outlines the impacts that YCi has had, and describes how local Youth Councils and practitioners have applied YCi's lessons in their communities.
