Promising
Practices YCi collects and shares ideas, strategies, and tips from practitioners
around the country. Youth Council members and staff share examples of work
from a variety of geographic and demographic sites. YCideas are
local stories of promising practices and strategic impacts Youth Councils
are having on their communities around the country. YCideas written
between 2001 and 2005 about Youth Council practices in California
have also been compiled into a single volume: YCideas:
A Compilation of Promising Practices from Youth Councils throughout
California, 2001-2005 . (PDF 2 mb) Share Youth Council Promising Practices with a National Audience We
are inviting Youth Councils throughout the country to share your promising
practices with a national audience. New Ways has collected over 60 YCideas
(promising practices) from Youth Councils throughout California and would
like to add strategies from around the country to the collection. The following publications feature local and statewide stories of promising
practices and strategic impacts Youth Councils are having on their communities.

2002, members of the California YCi network sent inquires out to
the field to garner peer feedback on issues and strategies in their
