Youth Ecology Corps

Focus Areas: Sustainability and Expansion Support

Sonoma County: Program design and implementation including: communications, expanding the base of investing project hosts, partner convening, legislative issues, evaluation design support and overall project documentation.

West Coast Network: Convene task force calls and an annual meeting of YECs in Portland, OR.  Currently seeking to influence legislation in California (Parks Bond) and supporting national legislation (21st Century Conservation Service Corps).

Youth Workforce Development

Focus Areas: Program Development Support

Contra Costa County Workforce Development Board: Supporting the board in the transition to the Opportunity Act, youth program design and implementation, and transition of the youth council to a youth committee and county-wide youth network. Providing Executive Coaching to youth program leadership.


Focus Areas: Jobs, Workforce Training and Ecosystem Education

Sonoma County Water Agency and Workforce Investment Board: Assisting in the design of a new Career Pathways model leading to careers in the water industry, area parks and county general services. Creating support materials and training partners and team members.

Focus Areas: Systems and Tools Development

The Public Policy Institute of New York - New York State P-TECH, Contra Costa County Workforce Development Board, Earn & Learn East Bay, New York City Department of Education, and the New York City Department of Youth and Community Development: Building toolsets and materials to support high-quality work-based learning and employer engagement, coaching and training staff, facilitating design and implementation meetings, and working with leadership on systems and sustainability approaches across communities and investment streams.

Work-Based Learning Capacity Building


Training and implementation support for staff and partners from New York State P-TECH, Earn & Learn East Bay, the Contra Costa Workforce Development Board, the New York City Department of Education, the Sonoma County Youth Ecology Corps partners, and the Foster Youth Mentored Internship Project in New York City.


Developed website for the New York City Department of Education, providing easy access to to Work-Based Learning tools and materials. Supporting and training staff from the Department of Education Career Technical Education programs, city-wide.

Focus Areas: High School Retention, Post-Secondary Success, Creative Industries Pathways

artworxLA: Supported this nonprofit organization charged with combating the high school dropout crisis by creatively designing an arts-infused educational pathway leading to careers in the creative industries. 


Foster Youth Transition

Design and Implementation of the Foster Youth-Mentored Internship Project

Focus Areas: Foster Youth Transitions, Internships and Career Mentoring

Workforce Professionals Training Institute: Supporting the design and implementation of an eight agency collaborative providing subsidized internships and career mentoring to 160 – 200 older youth in care.
